LEGAL UPDATE: Did you know the Vietnamese Government has eased the social distancing rules as of 23 April?

Only Hanoi remains on the “high-risk” list and social distancing will continue until 30 April. HCMC (and Bac Ninh and Ha Giang) are now in the middle category of “risky” areas and have the discretion to allow street businesses to open. The rest of the “non-risky” provinces can allow businesses to reopen depending on the situation but the minimum distance of 2 m must be maintained.
We will update with additional details in respect of HCMC as the People’s Committee issues further guidelines on what can be opened.
