Hao is a senior associate. Prior to joining the firm, Hao worked as an in-house counsel at one of Vietnam’s leading real estate development and investment management firms. Before that, she worked for a major private equity investment management firm in Ho Chi Minh City. With nine years of experience working as an in-house transactional legal counsel, Hao covers not only M&A transactions but also real estate development, hospitality, travel & tour operations, logistics, project financing, investment fund formation and other sectors. Previously Hao had also been working with both local and international law firms for more than seven years, where she advised her clients on a wide range of legal matters. Hao is fluent in English and Vietnamese.

  • VinaCapital on building a hospitality platform of USD300 million equity with Warburg Pincus, one of the global biggest private equity investment funds.
  • VinaCapital on purchasing an office building and a mixed-use building in Hanoi.
  • Thien Minh Group on establishing a joint-venture between Thien Minh Group and Flight Centre, one of the world largest travel agents, and acquiring a hospitality business and an aviation company for Thien Minh Group.
  • Gemadept on selling its office building to CJ Group at a valuation of USD45 million.
  • VI (Vietnam Investments) Group on acquiring equity of a USD30 million education company.

  • Lodgis Hospitality on legal matters in relation to the fund raising of approximately USD70 million from a foreign lender, covering all the legal matters, including working with the lender on the legal due diligence, reviewing and working with external legal counsels of both parties on the facility documents.
  • VI (Vietnam Investments) Group on providing a USD40 million convertible loan to a listed logistics company, covering all deal structuring and legal drafting.
  • A Korean bank on its project financing for a real estate development project in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

  • Shiseido on obtaining its import and distribution license in Vietnam.
